Serve Spotlight

We have news! Rademan to be Executive Director of SERVE, Inc!

Stephanie Rademan will lead SERVE, Inc as Executive Director beginning April 29, 2024. Rademan is an active Callaway County resident who brings 23 years experience in nonprofit leadership across Missouri, and at one time directed an organization which was structured very similarly to SERVE and offered many of the same services. Most recently, she has been working with The Family and Community Trust to collaborate and coordinate resources between existing organizations, and to represent vulnerable populations in Central Missouri and at the state level. With a proven track record for leading staff, motivating volunteers, managing grants, and planning successful fundraisers, she sees taking the helm at SERVE as a natural step in her career.

"The SERVE mission resonates and aligns perfectly with my own. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated staff that is already producing at such a high level. I know that together we can do even more to com-

bat the effects of poverty and food deserts in our community."

SERVE Board President Paul Klepees says he is confident Rademan will lead SERVE well: "Stephanie's enthusiasm is backed by the knowledge and experience to lead and make great things happen."

Rademan is stepping in as SERVE works to raise the funds to renovate and relocate to a new property on Gaylord

Drive, which they purchased late last year. (See next article.) The current store and office buildings will be sold as

soon as they can be vacated. She says this adds to her excitement about taking the position. "I can't wait to see

how much more we can accomplish once we have all our services in one location. We will add significant efficiencies when we can share volunteers and resources, plus our staff will be able to more easily work together and make better use of their talents and ideas organization-wide."

Rademan spends a lot of personal time volunteering in the community. She works with foster children as a CASA, as a handler for Therapy Paws with her dog Lucy, and is the current president of the Fulton Rotary Club. Klepees says the extra visibility of the new location combined with Rademan's community efforts will create even more opportunities for service. "She will be out in the community fostering relationships and looking for gaps that we can step into to fill the needs of our neighbors."
